I field all the emails, manually confirm all the tablers, recruited the talented John C. Worsley to take over our website and worked with him on maintaining it, have attended all but two of the meetings (I missed being at two in person, but I was at one of those via speaker phone), have handled the corn mug ordering process, am working with the screen printer for the shirts for this year, maintain the facebook page, and I've booked us an awesome wrap up party.
And it's all about to come to fruitition, friends. ( PZS is August 23rd and 24th.. )

well, more organized if i actually started writing notes to myself on it more often! but yeah...
also, i am going to do more daily, 90-second, video blogging via flickr, but i got too busy and overwhelmed between the last show my band played, stumptown comics fest and sequential art gallery's opening this past thursday... i plan to resume it this week sometime. were you people into it? weird note on that: the neighbor of the family that i nanny for added me on flickr a while back and was the only person to ask a question on my last flickr video's comments. it's odd to think about my bosses' neighbors knowing so much about my life. odd and interesting.
i have a ton of photos from stumptown comics fest and sequential art gallery's opening this past, first thursday coming soon, i swear!
stumptown comics fest was amazing, i met a lot of great new people, got a ton of comics and i ended up supervising portfolio reviews for about 4 hours on sunday (what kaebel asks, i do). supervising the portfolio reviews proved very interesting, if you'd like to know more, ask me as a comment and i will type it out, but right now i am too tired and i just want to bang out this journal entry.
in other news, it may be worth noting that i don't really look at my friends' list any more. what i do instead is check my friend's journals individually every few of days. i am thinking about exploring google reader, it looks like it may help me manage all my intarwebs reading.. in the meantime, if you have really important news, you may just want to give me a call, email me or come over for tea.
we had a portland zine symposium meeting today and it went really well! our website will probably be totally updated tomorrow and registering for tables should be something available through the website by the end of the week. super awesome recognition to john c. worsley for that. i am putting myself in charge of panels/discussions for the portland zine symposium, which i am really excited about.
oh, here's a very important thing! my band needs another lady guitarist, send any you know my way. i still am scratching my head as to how i only know one lady guitarist in all of portland.

yesterday, we had our second practice with brianna and it went really well. i am definitely, definitely excited about where things are going and for our first show. we've got four original songs down solidly and it looks like we'll be doing a cover of this must be the place. like i said, i am really excited. also,

deliasailed asked us to play a benefit show! it will be at plan b on the 24th, more info on that soon...this weekend, i plan on dressing up as a superhero to join the ranks of s.h.a.r.p. my housemate, ana, is likely to fall to "dark side" and join up with v.i.n.d.i.c.t.i.v.e. - yes, i realize i am mixing metaphors. er, genres? realities? anyways, i am still working on a concept for my hero, but i am so, so much closer than a week ago. like, i know i want it to have something to do with lightning. the name "blue lightning" was proposed and discussed, but it seems to cheesy. good thing, because this is happening this saturday. yes, i am a procrastinator - good thing i work well under pressure.

in other news...
i really like my new housemate and am corrupting her to become more deeply attached to facebook via scrabulous. i am planning a housewarming party, suggest some dates to me. i am leaning toward march 22nd..
i managed to hit last thursday last week and it was very nice! i rounded up a nice group of mostly women (including lovely liza and excellent ellen)) and one male, clumsy chris. we cruised all of alberta and were surprised by the lack of sidewalk venders on such a lovely evening.
i helped old greg celebrate his 30th this past saturday, which was at the standard. it was so smoky that, as i could have guessed, my nose wouldn't stop running the next day. or today, for that matter. i didn't bring porn or a mix cd, but i bought greg a drink and showed up, so between that and the smoke-induced illness i am now suffering, i think we're even.. eh greg? what's more, i managed to get chris to come celebrate with us too and, not by accident, he kept knocking his can of beer on my forehand. what the deuce, man??
i find myself meeting a lot of my goals, but still feeling a vague sort of depression. i am choosing to ignore it, but a drunken text message to an ex on saturday sort of spoke to the fact that i am not really that good at ignoring, especially while intoxicated. plus, i feel bad. my romantic life and trying to stay single is getting complicated, but i may just be thinking too much.
